Cowl was removed the other night

Here are some pics of the carnage, I can see this is going to take some beer to get me started!

This could be a problem! did a little blasting to see whats left.

Updates: I have started patching this thing

I was able to save this from the original blasted it at work today.

Made this patch, I squared it off some from the original cuz there wasn't much left to work with and so I could make it from one pice.

I will be blasting all the surface rust off just didn't take the time yet

You must have ESP . Last night I was looking through my old post and was going to PM you to see how you were doing. But I guess this answers my question . You did an excelent job fixing that cowl area it looks stronger than factory. Nice job on the fuel cell area too. Glad to see your making some nice progress.

Here are a few pics of how I finished the cowl. I sand blasted both the upper and lower panels and coated them with chassis saver paint before I welded it back in.

I have not got into the suspension much on this car yet but I am sticking with leaf springs in the back but I will be adding a sway bar and Cal-tracs. Up front I want to do away with the stock power stearing setup and put a rack in but other than that I have not got into the front much yet.

Hay all long time no update... I did manage to finish up the rotisserie and get the car on it!! I also started working on one of the doors but I may have a good line on a set of solid doors so I may not have to try and repair this one.
