Tell me More about this please

Found a good clean solution for power distribution and a central place to ground everything under the hood

Marty.....I fabbed the mounting surface, from a simple sheet of 9" x 9" 22 ga. sheet metal from the Orange Depot. http://www.sherco-auto.com/catalog.pdf page 17 (PG4-MANL) it is a power/ground fused distribution block. I found this by accident, and thought it would work well to keep all of my aftermarket connections in a nice neat centralized area....and it has room for expansion. it tucks up nicely under the passenger side fender, right next to the battery.

well..........the day to fire up the car came and went......had problems with installation issues, I can't get my steering column reassembled (any volunteers in the Chicago area???), can't find replacement door locks...blah, blah, blah.

my uncle (my dad's twin brother) died suddenly on Saturday.....and I just found out today, that I have to have surgery (2 herniated discs in my neck pressing on a nerve)......so.....life is passing up the car in big way.....and I am so close. I was trying to finish by the GoodGuys show the 19th of this month......but that is quickly evaporating as a possibility....and I am not happy about that.

I was able to install a billet oil breather and PCV valve, which was fun.....drilling into my carbon fiber valve covers was nerve wracking.

I am very here of all your trouble and the loss of your uncle.

Before you jump into surgery for your neck you need to call this gentelmen.

and remember the car is just the car and it will be done when it's done.

I had the same diagnosis last year, but so far so good. Told him it's gonna have to hurt really bad before they slice into my neck!

Don't worry about the car, it's day will come!

thanks for all the kind words, guys.

Saturn..........I am in Plainfield..........can you reassemble a steering column with your eyes closed? that's the biggest obstacle I have right now!!

Right down 59 from me, although a hassle to get through Naperville.

Eyes closed? I'll have to get back to you on that. Eyes open...maybe, not sure I've re-built a steering column, but how hard can it be?

      it is ALIVE!!!!!

I have not even begun to tune it yet, it runs rough as hell belching black fuel rich smoke, but after 2 years of work, I finally made it past the sidewalk!!

There are alot of people to thank, for their invaluable knowledge, so I could not have done this complete "Resto-Mod" by myself, and I am very appreciative of their help. This car has been the dream build of a lifetime for me.

It was quite ironic, that on the first run out of the garage.....a city cop is parked on the street behind me...watching....I really got a chuckle out of that.

couple new pics and then the video of the first drive.....

Beautiful car and congrat's on getting past the driveway

So did the city cop follow you or get out and take a look after you went around the block?

I'm not a big Camaro fan but you have done a nice job on that one. I like the colors and the detail that you have done.
