      New Bellhousing?

I recently saw an article in either Hot Rod or PHR about a new bellhousing for GM TKOs and muncies. I can't remember the manufacturer or magazine date.

It was either SFI or worthy of scatter protection and one piece gray in color.

I can't find it. Any info is appreciated! SS

Take a look at http://www.quicktimeinc.com/products.html for their bellhousings. I have one on hand for mopar smallblock to TKO/T10/T5. It looks to be a quality piece. Others are reporting favorable results with their installs. I haven't made the swap yet.

I just bought the Quick Time bellhousing for my TKO 600 which is going in my 62 Impala SS. I have bolted it up to my small block Chevy for mockup purposes. Fits and looks really nice. Seems to be a nice fairly light steel bell housing. Got mine new on Ebay for 200.00 but I think they list for 300.00 and change. They don't seem to have many dealers yet. Forte's Parts Connection in MA. sells them though.

FWIW the Quicktime bell is not SFI approved.

I wonder what the difference is on the SB chevy PN15000 made for the 4spds and the SB chevy PN15030 which is made for the tremec?

I believe it's bolt pattern, possibly the pilot dia too. Tremec is technically of Ford/Mustang application origin.

Although not SFI rated, CC5S and Keisler (as well as others) are selling a reproduction GM "621" bell. I have one, and it's really a nice piece, beefier than the old GM part. It still has to be indicated to the crank c/l to meet the Tremec required tolerance though.
