      Pro touring daily driver

Does anyone use their pro tourer as a daily driver?

I did...and maybe will again when finished. Only I will not drive again when the roads are covered with salt in the winter.

I drive the s**t out of mine, every day, rain or shine.

Hey, I'm a poet and was previously unaware of it!

Seriously though-- that's what I built/ am building it for.

I would love to drive mine everyday. But theres no way I'm gonna park it and leave it all the places I have to go everyday. although, my "hotrod" gets the best mileage of the fleet, on the freeway that is.

I got a company car for work and work related activities, but I drive my car 5 times or more a week for everything else. Unless I have an emergency I won't drive in snow or when salt has been on the road recently. I try to avoid rain if I can but I will if I have to.

I used to, but don't use it for to-and-from work duties anymore.

I put almost the same amount of miles on the Chevelle last year as I put on my daily driver. (10K on the DD and 8K on the Chevelle.)

I'll drive the thing anywhere, and I do... I'm just nervous taking it anywhere and leaving it parked where I can't keep an eye on it so I'm selective of where I take it.

If I could, I would. But I guess right now I would have to have someone tow the body cart around with me in a lawn chair inside or something if I wanted to move the car more than 2mph.

Mine was my only vehicle for about 5 years, but that was before all the mods and when I lived in sunny Cally and Florida. Since I have put more money into it and polished it up some, I don't want to put too much wear and tear on it. I plan on registering it with antique plates soon.

I made a quick blast to 170 mph, very quick smooth and solid. Seems promising, but with the car currently for sale, I have dropped the goal. If it does not sell soon, I will find a place to go 200mph, and just do it. The new owner, if he can find a flat 2 mile stretch of road can try it and get back to us!!

My 67 Camaro was my daily driver when I first got it, but that was 31 years ago.

The reality today is that I try to drive it when I know there is safe parking. Unfortunately, that greatly limits drive time. I have no problem with bugs or rock chips, but parking lot dings are a whole other matter. I couldn't even drive it to my last job because the maintenence crew took delight in randomly turning on the sprinklers during the day and soaking cars with reclaimed water.

Mostly I use it to take my son to preschool. Its amazing how most little kids love it even though they have no clue what it is.
