      69 camaro reverse light switch??

where should I find a reverse light switch on a 69 camaro?

      I am changing from a manual 3 speed to a auto 4 speed(4L60E).
I know it should be a pink and a light green wire, but i don't know where they are or where the plug for them is.

      thanks

If no-one has removed the wires the come out of the firewall, usually near the column. Normally light and dark green. There should be a connecter up under the dash near the gas pedal or the column. A black double connecter side by side with female spade ends.

      Thanks, I got it.
The switch was mounted on top of the steering shaft and the wire colors are light green and pink.

      thanks for the help

      69Wiring

Chris, I am converting factory wiring to painless and auto trans to manual. My question is can I eliminate the colum swithch and tie the wires to the transmission switch? Or will this need to be jumped out or left in neutral at the column? Thanks for any help and good luck understanding my question!

Hurst makes a backup switch that mounts on a shifter if it helps you make it easier, I know it did years ago when I went from an auto to a stick!
