Firewall Help: Sealing big gap around wire looms

      Hi guys,
I'm passing wiring into my car's interior, and I'm curious what you guys would use to fill this hole? The hole was there before, and since I'm using it, I'm not sure how to seal a gap this big. Does anyone have any ideas of what to seal it with?

My thoughts, and do with them what you may, would be to make a plate with a hole just big enough for the riring to pass through. Make one (split for mounting) for the inside, one for the outside. Then, pack butyl (windshield mounting tape) around the wires and between the inner and outer plates. Don't use strip calk, as it gets hard and cracks, use the windshield tape.

Today I made a plate on the outside to fit around the holes, and then filled the remaining small gaps with 3M Strip-Calk. Problem solved.
