      ATS LSX Drive System

I am thinking of buying the LSX drive system from ATS. Anyone have any imput on it? Any other pics other than what is on their site?

I know its alot of money but I need to buy AC, water pump, alternator, all the pulleys etc anyway, plus it looks so nice and fits the theme of my car perfect.

Also, will this fit a 70 chevelle with no frame mods?

Tylers kit is very nice. Last I heard he was in the testing phase, then on to production. I had a time issue and had to go with another setup.

Why not just buy a OEM setup? It'll be alot cheaper....

In my case I needed the tight close mounting of the components for the twin turbo clearance; something like a Vintage Air front runner, but for the LSX engines. The factory stuff doesn't fit in nearly tight enough to clear for me.

I am building this car with intentions of going to SEMA. I am already going to be spending quite a bit to get a stock pulley setup, water pump, alternator, AC, and power steering setup. Then its not guaranteed that its going to clear the crossmember without notching it. I can justify the added expense for the much improved looks, high quality, and easier install.

We are almost there on our system. We opted not to go straight to production to do some durability testing with Katech and their LS7 race engine program. What we have discovered is that we need a trnsioner with about 20 more degrees of rotation to get us where we want. We ended up running out of travel around 8500 RPM and the belt stretch was so much that we hit the spring stop on the dyno. Good news is that all the mounting is as solid as it can be, the ARP studs held up just fine, and even at 8500 RPM and 712 N/A hp later, the belt stayed put.

We should be into production in about 3-4 weeks from now, and I'll even post up the video on Katech's engine dyno. The testing simulates the C6R doing laps at Sebring for a few hours, so if it can survive that, it can put up with anything you guys can throw at it. Also keep in in mind that ous Sidewinder is able to retain the factory intake manifold, where the DSE driver one cannot. We are aslo the only system on the market that uses special made ARP studs to hold the entire assembly together along with eceptionally strong truss brackets that spread the load evenly across the entire system.

Heres a couple pics of mine. Its from S&P. It uses a Corvette WP and Camaro/Firebird balancer. The AC run off the same belt and clears the crossmemer.(no need to cut the crossmember when using their mounts)
