It would, for me, be a void that a person could not fill.

Someone recently quoted on this board, and it stuck in my head. A man (no sexism meant, it applies both ways) has to have his toys. If those toys are taken away he will find others, usually with breasts.

My wife put it very well one time when talking about my addiction to one of her friends. "I always know where he is (in the garage) and I never have to worry about him drinking the paycheck away." She does not have the passion for cars, but she respects it, and my hands-on need to wrench.

Damn it man I heard that. I need to go buy some flowers myself. as for the issue in this post. I hate to say it but a swift kick to the curb while traveling at speed is in order and don't lok back.

I would approach it like this...

My first 2 wifes died from eating poison mushrooms, my third died from a fractured skull.... she wouldn't eat the mushrooms
My wife told me if I didn't quit drinking beer and working on my car, she was going to leave me.... I sure am gonna miss her
Seriously, don't even go there with her... after your divorce you owe it to yourself. No restrictions, no dialog about what you are and aren't going to do... PERIOD! Sounds like you need to give her a "ball check" cause it appears that she may have grown a set when you weren't looking.

I can see it now....... you pull in the driveway after busting your ass all day @ work, and she comes outside jumping up and down, all excited>

"Look what I did today dear, I got us a real nice used Plymouth Voyager mini van, with only 210,000 original miles on it and a very nice salesman at the car lot gave it too me for only $1000 and your car! He said all it needed was the sliding door hinges welded back on, brakes, a head gasket, radiator, and a couple of wires to make the headlights work... Aren't you PROUD of me honey?"

      Do you really need this?
