leaf spring locating pin. need help
My locating pin in my leaves broke when i wrecked the car. is there a way i can fix it or do i need a shop to do it. i was thinking i could just drill out the lowering block and put a bolt through it.

No dont do that.
Order a new bolt you can get them for cheap and they are needed to hold the pack together and the aluminum blocks crush and chaff too much.
And the fact the head of the bolt locates the diff. Just bolting it together is a very unsafe thing to do, now if it was steel and thin, then it would be ok but for thick ones the bolt might shear under stress.
I hate thick locating blocks especially aluminum, I have seen too many give some dangerous failures.

Yes, you can use a bolt. You may want to use a socket head cap screw, it is grade 8 and with the round head it may fit into the seat in your spring pearch better than a hex-head

hmm someone else recommended a bolt to me also. if it matters iv got caltracs also.

Only run the bolt through the springs, do not drill out the lowering block. The nub on the top of the lowering block is to locate the block in the axle spring perch, there should be a coresponding hold on the bottom of the lowering block which is where the head of the bolt that goes through the springs will locate into.
