Shifter boot with TKO
What shifter boot are all you Tremec users going with? I am undedided which one to go with in my 67. Is the Hurst Super Boot too large? Any pics would be great.

04-05-2007 #2Do you mean a console/floor boot or a shifter boot? The TKO-500s and 600s come with a "shifter boot" to cover the shifter internals (http://www.classicchevy5speed.com/images/TKO-500.jpg).
I have a Pro 5.0 shifter on my spare TKO-I that didn't come with any sort of boot and had to purchase a Hurst Tremec shifter boot to keep dirt/debris out (http://www.danhardison.com/TKO/DSC03041.JPG).

I am talking about the floor boot. I do not have a console. The TKO 600 came with the mini dust boot.

04-16-2007 #5I think in most cars the "super boot" from Hurst is a little large. I used the next size down in my car w/o a console. 3 1/2" x 4 1/2 just fits over the TKO "tower".
04-16-2007 #6have you seen the Lokar boots? That's what I ran:
