      door lock help...

This is probably another stupid question, but I need to replace the door lock on my drivers side door and dont know exactly what parts I need. Whats broken are the metal rods not the lock itself - which still works.

it seems like every time i look for replacement parts i just get the cylinder piece that the key itself actually fits in.... any ideas on how to fix this?

      thanks

Which "rods" are you refering to? Do you mean the rod between the interior handle and the locking mechanism or the rod between the post that comes out of the top of your door and the locking mechanism or?

Hmm well the lock assembly you can get in reproduction from the aftermarket. Assuming your nova is similiar to a 1st gen Camaro the lock assembly is all one piece. You connect the two rods to it and the key cylinder pawl and that is it. No other normally removable/replaceable parts.
