      Mini V8

      http://www.weberprecision.com/weberprecision1_015.htm

This page will describe the construction of a miniature eight cylinder engine I built in my home machine shop over the past few years. I still have a few small details left to finish, but the engine is running and almost complete. This was my first attempt at building a running miniature engine, I should have started with something a little simpler. I had a great time designing and building this engine and the first time it started was an unbelievable experience. I am going to take the engine back apart over the next several days to modify it for running on racing fuel or alcohol, I haven't decided which yet, I will be increasing the compression ratio by milling a bit more material off the cylinder heads. I will take pictures of all the internal components and post them here along with how I went about machining the parts and tooling.

have you ever thought about doing a full size engine?

i have always thought it would be cool to do a v4 with a big block chevy (454) specs.....

you could use alot of the already tested head designes, racing technology, pistons, rods, modify some aluminum heads.

think 12,000 rpm, 3.5 liter screemer in a 1000 lb sand rail. or VW bug or motor cycle

That is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen! You must have a lot of spare time.
Do you think you could build one for me? I want to have the only R/C car around with a blown V8...
