      clutch fork boot

Do you need a rubber boot for where the clutch fork exits the McLeod bellhousing? Got one with the clutch pedal and linkage kit but it does not fit into the McLeod. Can I just leave it out?

You don't really need it but if you would like to put one in, Lakewood makes one and I'm told it fits the McLeod housing.

I was wondering the same thing. My Lakewood boot fit the bellhousing but the fork kept moving it out of place when put through its range of motion. So naturally I gave the boot the boot.
Hasn't caused a problem in the 1,000 miles or so I have put on it. The only thing I am concerned about is that oil from my leaky engine doesn't get down onto my clutch...lol

Dave, I initially used the Lakewood boot with my bell, but since converting to the hydraulic clutch haven't used the boot. No problems so far.

Thanks guys. Sounds like no boot will be just fine then.
