Site Speed

The hosting company has made some changes to the server to address the slow speed issue. Please let me know if you notice any difference. If you do notice it being slow at the same time that other sites load quickly please let me know. Also, if you could note the time that would be helpful.

If this does not fix the problem to plan is to move it to a new server.

Larry, I tried opening the site last night around 12:30-1am with no luck, other sites opened fine and fast as usual...then I checked back around 9am and everything worked just fine...don't know if it was down for repairs? Everything seems ok now....

It loads much faster on my end..........I'd say there is a noticable difference.

They did do some major changes on the server so, keep the input coming.

I was going to reply initially with holy ***** the site is moving fast......but then all weekend it's been on/off. I couldn't get on at all last night. Basically when it works it's moving faster, but it's not aways working.

The overall speed or lack there off is killin me ,I swear we got rid of dialup went to roadrunner but sometimes I wunder.

Tonight or Thursday night we are moving to a new server. I expect the site to be down for about 45 minutes.

It's been really dragging for the past 30 minutes or so (6:30-7a Central). It seems to be getting better now though.

Severely slow. I quit coming for over a week and a half because it was just taking to long to get on. I have T3 at work and Cable at home and this is the slowest site I go to now. Sorry if I havent answered some of the PM and questions that people have asked me but wow just way too slow here.

It's an overloaded server. We are on a rack with a lot of major web sites with tons and tons of traffic.

I know we are moving. This morning-7:30est then around lunch and now it has been extremely sssllllooowwww. Hopefully the move is tonite and everything will be fine. However if the move was last nite-then?

At this moment it is the fastest I have seen in weeks. Hopefully it stays this way.
Larry a lot of sites have a "LOG" file and that fills really fast from when members click to view each thread. Usually once or twice a week it has to be cleared if a site is really huge. If its not cleared then the site gets slower and slower. Some sites I am on this log file HAS to be cleared once a week. But one of those sites has 43,000 members. So your site could probably go at least a month or 2 without being cleared out. Mabey even 3 months. Just a suggestion to help.
