Those are some very serious goals, and still going to be a daily driver thats crazy. The car looks killer. I love everything about it.

      Car is awesome....

It states that the entire car was powder coated. Can you powder coat over bodyfiller? Or is the F-Bomb completely free of fillers?

      powder coating

Yes you read right the entire car was powder coated it acts as a great primer as long as its sanded before painting.Weve started doing this a couple of years ago.It really makes the build feel good working on a fresh slate. Thanks for the good comments

first of I have a soft spot for early 2nd gen camaros and the F-bomb sure looks mean and radical. However isn't 260mph with a 2nd gens aeroynamics abit too high? besides the spoilers how else do you intend improve the a-dynamics.

otherwise great project and all the best

That thing is sick, just sick! I think it is awesome how they opted to go with the all-business look. I love the WWII bomber theme, a tough look for a tough machine! It will be interesting to see if you guys reach the 260 mph goal--I have never heard of 2nd-gen based car going that fast. It definitely will have enough power!

Wicked power!! Wicked car!! 170 in 8 seconds is lofty, but whoknows!?!? What do you guys intend on changing to be able to do that AND 260 at the flats?

Saw it at SEMA. Amazing car. Maybe we can talk Freiburger into attending RTH3.

LOL Freiburger seems like a real down-to-earth guy, I always enjoy reading his editorials in Car Craft and Hot Rod.

Very cool car, I saw it at SEMA. They had it parked in a dark corner of the lobby, I walked right past it the first time it was so stealthy in the shadows.

Goals look lofty, but I suppose we will find out how well it hits them.

      Nice work!

I love the WWII bomber theme, check out the lightening holes on the forward windshield pillars, now that is cool. I'm looking forward to seeing what other aircraft styling they introduced into the car.

That car's got all kinds of neat touches. It has a push/pull battery disconnect switch at the back of the car that says "Shove Off!"

so its been powdercoated and then painted? that sounds like a cool way of doing it, do you have to use any kind of special paints?

either way, I love second gens, and I love the flat "army" green paint, I cant wait to see the results.

      F-bomb

You cant powder coat over the body filler becuase it goes in a oven it actually melts the roof to quarter filler a smidge. But man let me tell you when you do everything i mean everything is coated in places you can never get a paint gun.One of the best things weve started doing.
We plan on running 0 to 170 on slicks and changing the gear ratio in the back along with the front spoiler which very suprisingly looks like a flat panel from the headlight down for the top speed runs along with a secondary injector running meth for the speed runs because the intercoolers are covered.
Dave spent some time in a wind tunnel on his white second gen and just ran with a stock crate 572 and a 150 shot of nitrous 261mph at bonneville 247 on the motor aero is huge.We have a ton more power than that car but no better aero thats why i fiqure 260 is a safe bet
Dave says at 261 he can see the tach 1000 rpm higher than the wheel speed is so its like hitting a wind wall and smoking the tires. It should be interesting to see how it does.Hes got the balls for it that same outing he spun the car at 215 mph and was pretty relaxed about it.
I can't wait .this package is extremely docile we ran dual fuel injectors per cyl on the engine which made it very tame.for the 1500 + hp and tq it makes

While I was reading this, I could not help but think, at that speed,I wondered if maybe he could see God too.
