      Buddy,

Your car looks amazing. I love the color and the wheels.

What backspacing did you end up with on your wheels?

Thanks for the kind words, I'm really happy with how the color turned out. Fronts have 5 3/4" BS and Rears are 7 3/4" BS with smallest pad thickness. I'm not sure what pad thickness the fronts were.

Well, weather here finally turned for the better... and got the car out for the first time this year this past Sunday! It was a nice sweltering 45 degree's, took it for a quick spin around the block. First time driving it with the "new" brakes. Had a couple small offset issues with the rears that was easily fixed. And after another quick bleed of the brake lines it is ready to go. Drove it again last night and can tell a lot better of bite out of the C6 brakes over the dynalites. Now to get this interior finished.....

Finally made it to a track event with the car. Went to the Midwest Musclecar Challenge at Putnum Raceway over the weekend. Instructors were on site and was able to have one ride with me at each session. Definitely a help and well worth it. This weekend was my first time with both road coarse and autocross. Half way through the first session I felt very comfortable driving the road coarse. The car performed great for what it is. Very happy with the C6 Z51 brakes and how they performed.

Here's a few photos from the weekend....

Been a little behind on the updates lately. This past spring I finally tore into getting some interior in it. Still no back seat but is at the upholstery shop. Going to have to wait on a headliner, with a helmet on I basically touch the roof sheetmetal. The seats bases have been modified to be lower as well.

One nice installment was a steering wheel quick release. I don't have issue getting in and out with the steering wheel in the way but helped bring the steering wheel closer to me and it's really nice to be able to quickly pull it off when needing to climb under the dash to work on anything. This is a NRG innovations quick release. ball lock style, no slop what so ever and just under $100 shipped. It's a nice piece.

Made it to the Motor State Challenge at Gingerman raceway this past weekend. The previous 4 years I was just spectator but was finally able to take the Camaro. And what a blast it was! Couldn't beat the weather, not too hot, not too cold and slight overcast to keep the track from getting too hot. Best lap was a 1:51.283. Very pleased with that time as it was only my 2nd time on a road course and 1st time driving Gingerman. Also still sporting stock control arms with some mild Hotchkis components.... no tubulars or coil overs up front.
