      My 69 Camaro Project

I am in the process of putting back together my 69 Camaro that I have owned since 1986. It was a daily driver until 3 years ago when I decided to rebuild the front end and install front disc brakes. With the engine and transmission out and the front subframe removed I decided to go all the way. The car was completely stripped, media blasted, all bondo replaced with metal and then painted PPG Electric Blue Metallic. It has a ZZ3 that was rebuilt, AFR 190 heads, an air-gap intake, Holley 650 DP and Doug Thorley headers. The engine is mated to Tremec TKO 5-speed with a new Denny's driveshaft installed. The rear is an 8.5 posi 10 bolt with 3.42 gears. 4 wheel disc brakes have been installed which will be controlled by a Hydorboost system. I have installed a Vintage Air Sure-Fit kit. The car will be going to the upholstery shop next week to have a custom interior installed.

Nice ride and welcome to the site. I had to do a double take because it is very similar to Steve1969LS1's car. The color and those are the same as his old wheels.

      Update on 69 Camaro

I loaded up the Camaro and made a move from Baltimore, MD to Austin, TX and have not looked back. I am still slowly trying to get the car back together. I finally got the front end sheetmetal installed and most of the engine and components. The next step is to install the wiring harnesses and get everything connected to the harness, plumb the vintage air system and finish up the interior and engine compartment and she should be ready to fire up. I can't wait for that day to arrive. I have been working on the car for almost 4 years now.
