Install a temp gaue with no bung in tranny pan

Is there a way to install an electronic temp sensor for a transmission - but not in the pan - no bung? Is there any way to do it in-line with the cooling lines?

I installed mine using a T-fitting. The temp sensor screwed in using an adapter. Cost, about $30.

It is not that hard to add the bung to the pan. If you add a bung you will end up with a lot less points that can leek or fail and you do not need to mount any extra parts. It also adds a drain point if you do not have one already. Just my .02$. Randy

That was my original intent - however the tranny shop that built my new tranny - forgot to put a bung in for me - which got me upset - really do want to take apart the new pan - and break the seal and redo - just want to get it in the car - reason why I was looking for another alternative to a welded bung.

Thanks guys - that autometer part is exactly what I will need.
