      New guy here...

      Hi All,

My name is Herb Lumpp, some of you may know me from the Team Chevelle email list or possibly the Vettenet. I've never really used internet forums before so please bear with me while I learn.

I'm an active duty Coast Guard member and have been in for 18+ years. My current cars include a 66 El Camino (468, TKO-500, 18" Intro/Nitto combo, Baer brakes, Vintage Air, Global West suspension, Currie 9") a 76 Corvette (355, 700R4, VB&Products suspension, 17&18" Foose/Nitto combo) a 71 K5 Blazer (355, 700R4, Skyjacker 4" lift, American Racing/BFG Mud TA combo) and finally a 00 Aprilia Mille (Ti exhaust and eprom).

My wife and I bought the Vette the day before we got married in Jun 92, the El showed up on our doorstep about 9 years ago, I bought the Mille new, and the Blazer came into our possession last May - it's getting the attention at the moment so I can drive it every day. Once that's done, I'll be turning my tools to the Vette with a fresh 460 that's sitting in the corner waiting for a new home. I'm thinking real hard about ditching the 700R4 in favor of a TKO-500 while I'm at it.

That's it for now other than to say the Pigeon Forge event was a blast and I'm looking forward to doing that again real soon!

      Herb

Thanks guys! I'm glad to be here. I've been meaning to get more involved with this site, but I've been too lazy, until I went to the Pigeon Forge event!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the positive comments and I too am glad to join this group. I had a blast at Pigeon Forge and got to meet a lot of really good people that I hope to see again!

Ottweet, if I was at home I could post some pics of the Elky before I got started... like you, I never imagined it being where it is today. I guess all it takes is time (enough to save the money) and the commitment to see it through to the end.
