Been a while since I did an update and we have got quite a bit accomplished, though it never seems like enoough.

got the sfc's installed and patched one section of floor, epoxy primered the bottom, interior, and firewall then reprimed with gray sanding primer

mocked up all of the front end parts, oil tank, oil filter, radiator etc.
      [

now it is back in the body shop

      Candy charcoal

I like the dark grey with silver stripes as well you may even want to look at like a candy charcoal... Hot hues has it I was going to do that on my project until I decided to get a convertible then I wanted to do a tan top to be different.. Wheels are cool I think we are all a little envious of the LS7....

I've been so busy trying to keep the project moving that I haven't put much thought into what to do once it's complete. LOL I have been thinking I would like to take it to the Year One show, and I would love to go Mr.Howells Run through the Hills(?). What shows have you been thinking about? Would be great to get them side by side.

Looks great! I love the motor and wheel choice. The LS7 is just a beast and it's so bullit proof. Is that a brake light on the rear spoiler I see?

Thanks, yes that is a brake light you see. The jury is still out on that item. What do you think??? Heres another pic.

I am using the Marquez tail lights so I am thinking about making a billet "bezel" to set the light into so it matches.

Did you have Petersons add a couple of bungs on your breather can? Also, where are you running them too? I'm working on fabbing my tank up this weekend.

      Thanks in advance,
      Jason

CAr looks Sick, great job!! AS far as the 3rd brake light goes, I would some how set it inside the spoiler, or like ya said make a bezel for it.

Yes, Peterson did add the bungs. The Katech valve covers I'm using have a hole for a fitting on the inside vertical edge.I'm running an an-6 line from both to the breather.

Looks awsome!! Great project , best combination of parts in my mind!!! Do you like how the engine sits on frame with ats mounts? Could it be lower or closer to firewall ? What kind of fuel system(tank) you have planned ?

I'm not sure about the light? I think if you put a bezel around it, it will just draw too much attention. If you leave it the way it ism, it almost looks unfinished? I'm not sure what to tell you on that one. I think the car looks great either way and blows my out of the water so, what do I know. Good luck with the car and keep us up to date.

Great idea. It looks fine. I have one on my Mustang Saleen.

It only looks like it sticks out because the the car is in primer. I would not add bezel. Good move = leave as is.

Thanks Bowtie, I don't think the engine could sit much lower or farther back. The following picture is with the stock LS7 pan and it clears the frame by about 1/4" if I remember right. I have one of ATS's oil pans on order. Be curious myself to see how much clearance there is with that. I think there was about 1" clearance between the back of the heads and the firewall.Picture is not too good. Sorry

Wow, I am surprised the stock pan fit! I would keep the stock pan since the ATS pan is a 4.5qt pan.

Everything looks great, I especially like the torquer cam you chose, the best off the shelf cam for this engine IMO.

He doesn't have the steering linkage in there currently. The stock LS7 pan will not fit with the steering linkage, and the LS7 is dry sump, so it holds way more than 4.5 qts.
