      Leaking steering box

      Hi!
Need some help with a leaking steering box.(-69 Camaro)
Is it possible to fix this leak?(see photo).
I manage to loose the lock ring, but how do I get the cover plate out ?
Is there a seal or gasket behind the cover plate that I can change ?
Or what shall I do ?

Try turning the steering input shaft, if that doesn't do it, try blowing some air in the hose port but be careful not to get in the way of the cap if it pops out!
The aluminum cap has an O ring on it. Get a replacement lock ring from any Saginaw box you can find. There are two sizes large and small, yours is the small which is most common on autos, the large is used on some trucks.

Turning the steering input shaft clockwise, did the trick !
