Bought mine when I was 16 and still workin on it 6 years later. College gets in the way pretty bad when you pay for it yourself.

Bought mine in June of 2004, and of course, with the usual "I'm just gonna clean up the interior, new engine, and new wheels and tires." That didn't work out so well. Right now the car is completely torn apart except for the rear end and springs, and I'm working on getting the firewall filled, and the firewall/underbody painted so I can begin reassembly.

The worst part is that this is my last summer break (I'm graduating in December), and I will most likely not end up working in my hometown, so who knows when the car will ever be done. I doubt I'll be able to take it with me since I'll probably be in an apartment, so the only time I'll be able to work on it will be during visits home. I never would've guessed that I'd turn into one of the "I bought it thinking it would be done within a year, and here I am 7 years later" stories, but it looks like that's gonna happen.

I'm gonna have to take my shoes off to count that high.
