      C5 Conversion Hub Balance Question

I had the Third Gen Rotors machined into hubs this week, but the back edge is a little rough and un-even. Do These things need to be balanced before I finally put them on the car, or will a peice that is so small in diamater not really need that. Thanks for the help, you guys are full of information.

      John,

I doubt that the uneveness will cause a terrible balance problem due to the diameter and the amout of weight that is in that area. However it should be pretty easy to cleanup that area if you wish. Checkout the first set of photos on my page. The first couple of shots show how rough my hub was when I first cut the rotor off. The third shot shows that you could get the rough area pretty close with just a disc grinder. And them the last photo is after I cleaned up the cut on a lathe and the parts were plated.

      Hope this helps.
