      AAW LED sequential taillight install

This Sat I was able to check out the install of the LED sequential taillights into Frank Scopelitti's (FScope) 68 Camaro. These were the prototypes for the 67-68 Camaros. I was there, hoping to convince them to make them for the Firebirds also.
Theresa & the guys at American Auto Wire were great, but the lights and Frank's car were awesome. Pictures don't show how cool they really are. When the turn signals are on the light starts at inboard side and sweeps outward and when the emergency flashers are on both lights sweep the opposite way. They're also much brighter than stock. You have to see these lights in person. There was a new tail panel that looked like it might be set up as a display so maybe they will have it at some shows. If all goes right they might be offering a setup for the Firebirds. I'm going to keep buggin' them.

Seems like Jay & Bruce are ganging up on me for Firebird lights. I'll lean on the R&D department...

Glad you enjoyed yourself here Jay. Come back and visit us now that you know where we are.

The product was on display at the Charlotte AutoFair over the weekend. That is one cool piece. If I was the owner of one of those cars, that would be a must have item!!!

Well, a meeting is scheduled for Mon. @ 10am to discuss the Firebird Tailllights because so many people on this board have expressed an interest.
(Kris was not aware of that meeting when you called, the owners were.)

I'll let you know more information next week.

Another request for firebirds. 2nd gen though 72 to be exact. Maybe some sort of universal kit?

      Theresa,
I've seen Mike & Kris at a few shows and we've talked about it. (I told you I'd keep buggin' them)
I'll be at the Goodguys show at Hershey next weekend. If the outcome of the meeting goes OK, I can bring the set of tail lights there or make plans to drop them off at the shop. Let me know.

      J.

Hey guys... Jay (j68bird) volunteed to let us (AAW) use a set of his lights for R&D purposes for Firebird lights if we pursue development of them. Thanks Jay!!!

Count me in for a set for a 69 Bird, too. I'll donate a set of tail light housings to the cause if necessary.

DEFINITELY, keep us updated on the meeting results.

Hey, just an idea but when I get my Bird back from Prodigy in a couple weeks we could do some R&D on mine and maybe even do a install. I am just down the road in MD, so what do you think?
