      Hurst wheels

Anyone remember the Hurst alloy wheels? I know they are very rare nowadays but does anyone build & sell a clone or something similar?
A friend is trying to find some replicas for his project.
      Thanks for any leads,

      These?

One of the parts houses has them in the catalog, maybe Classic or Year One.

Repros were made for a few months and scrapped. I was lucky enough to get a set of 14". Intro makes a "tribute" Hurst wheel under the Vista line, as does Boyd Coddington. I'm putting a set of 17/18 Vistas on my '65.

I assmume you want pics of the newer wheels, not the originals, but here's a pic of mine for fun.

Boyd makes them, not sure where you can find pics of his wheels anymore. Oasis makes them, as does Intro, so check out their websites.

You could also PM member ALLFAITH, he had a set on his '65 GTO. Also do a search for Vista and I bet you'll get 10 posts on them

I finally found a link to pics of ALLFAITH's old car with the Vistas, I hope he doesn't mind me posting the link: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/w...8ActmrJy5ZMmNe

If memory serves, he was running 17x7s in front on 235/50s and 17x8s out back on 255/45s. I found that a little odd, since that would make the fronts taller than the rears. BS was 4.5" front and 5.75" rear, but with a 1" wider 12 bolt from later Chevelle. Had 4-wheel Baers, so that ads .5" track width front and rear. I've also read that Intro measures their wheels a little different, so that a 7" wheel is closer to 8", and 8" is closer to 9".

This is pretty standard across the industry. Wheel width is measured from inner bead to inner bead. Overall width is then usually almost 1" wider. 7" wide wheel will measure almost 8" overall, and so on. Backspace will be measured from the outer most edge. So a 4" backspace on a 7" wide wheel, will leave you 4" of front space.
Hope that pic of the Vista helps. It's a nicely done two piece billet wheel. Keep up posted.
