      Replacement Turn Key Engine

My 305cu Chev is tired and needs a rebuild, which aint cheap in the UK and for the same price I could buy this...

      eBay Crate Engine

Any comments/suggestions? Shipping won't work out to much, since I'm coming to the US next month to buy and Astro van, load it up with parts and container it back to the UK.

Remember that you don't get something for nothing. The HP quotes are via desktop dyno, not a real dyno so your results will likely be less.

They may be fine builders, the big deal is they're a long way from you if there is a problem.

Have you looked at Scoggin Dickey or Pace Performance? They are GM's biggest crate motors dealers & have many different levels.

OK, I'm looking at this kit, GM Goodwrench plus 'kit'...

      Scoggin Dickey GM Goodwrench 'kit'

What other parts do I need to make it 'turn key' like the one on eBay. HP quoted from the stock 350 is 250HP, so what would I need to change/replace to get it up in the mid 300's? Please forgive, but I'm no engine expert, however collectively with my friends who have more mechanical knowledge I will be able to swap this into my Cutlass.

Check out the 350 HO deluxe package. Its closer to your HP range and pretty much turnkey.

I must be dumb, since I can't see that option in any of the crate engines. Where should I be looking?

LOL, no that's the link I orginally put up, I was referring to Analog-kid suggestions of the 'turn key' HO deluxe package?

Summit racing has them. I'm sure other sources for GM Performance parts can look it up. A little more expensive than the other package but the HP # are better.

Thanks, I was looking within the Scoggin Dickey site, no wonder I couldn't find it. Liking the looks of the GM Parts direct lump, reckon with the aid of eBay I could get it up to turn key for around the same as that 350 I first posted.

Cheers for the help, more q's may follow!
