Looks GREAT! I plan to eventually channel the floor pan to get it lower on the frame also. Will have to modify the wheelwells so the tires won't rub at the top? Are you going to remove the drip rails? Kinda looks like they've been cut off.

Great job on the rendering Kris.

I am using C5 door handles, I have not decided on the drip rails though. I don't have to modify the fender wells, but I am going to because I want every ounce of suspension travel I can get. I only channeled main floor because to raise the trunk was going to cause some major headaches. I am "C" notching the rails and tweaking the outer fender wells. I really could use a taller tire than a 26", but I will have to go to a 345/35/18 to maintain some side wall and it gives me only another 1".

MuscleRodz, I'm a bit confused by your post, are you going with the 345?

Right now I have Summitomo 315/35/17's out back which are 25.7" tall I think. That was fine because when I had a 10 bolt under the car I had around 3" travel. When I put the 12 bolt under it, I lost 1/2 inch due to larger axle tube. I am "C" notching the rails to give me 4" of absolute travel at ride height with tire even with wheel well opening. I am also modifing the outer wheel house for clearance as well.

To gain anymore travel without sacrificing stance, I need to go to a taller wheel. The 345/35/18 or 40 series I forget, is 27.1 tall and I still maintain sidewall for some comfort and drivability. Anything bigger wheel on a 67 or 68 doesn't look right to me. That would give me roughly another 3/4" of susupension travel or I could tuck the tire some. If I tuck it then I run a chance of running out of fender well clearance before suspension travel! Oh the decisions!

Yeah I told Kris last week when he was finishing that up what a great color that was. I'm so glad to hear everyone else digs it too. It's amazing to watch Kris work I've watched him many times and it still amazes me.
