      II Much Fuel Vents??????

Does anybody know what happened to these guys? I know they used to be pretty active on the forum and offered a solid product. I placed an order via the web site on 13 OCT 2024. Ive called repeatedly since placing the order, always receiving the same song and dance about "waiting on an order of materials" or "that group of orders should ship in a week or two". I just tried calling the number on the web site again, and now it just goes to a nameless voice mail. I assume at this point, my money has been stolen and Ill have to take it up with the credit card company, but I just wanted to check here and see if anyone had any additional information or similar experience.

      Thanks!

The dude is hard to get ahold of. I bought the AC hose bulkhead for my K5 and it took 6 months of riding his ass. I’m in sales so I made it my mission to call 2-3 x’s a week & email.

My suggestion is to find another product. I probably only got lucky due to being obnoxiously persistent

Thanks for the info.....what a clown. I went through this same process with another company on a set of headlights for my 2002 4Runner. The company went under before I ever got my lights. Fortunately, I was able to file a claim with the credit card company and they reimbursed the expense.

He's a one man show that did the right thing with safety recall on his vents he initiated despite no known actual problems. This got him in a bind, he's dug out of now but the ever changing landscape of tariffs has created new problems for shipping but he is shipping. I got my vents in 6 months which is less time others have waited on other parts like Dakota Digital and Anvil. His lead time is less than that now, but if you don't want to wait a bit for a one of a kind quality product you shouldn't order from him. He's not going out of business, you will get any parts ordered I'm sure.

That may be the case, but a little communication goes a LONG way. Stringing people along two weeks at a time for 8 months is pretty piss poor business practices.

If you got it in the last few weeks it's one of the most recent batches I'm sure. If you got it months ago no it's not.

so predictably, between the time I started this thread and now, I had contacted II Much twice, and both times was once again assured my parts would ship in the next week or two. Went to call back again today, and they no longer appear to have a web site. $300 down the drain.

what a clown. a simple fuel vent shouldn't take as long to build as an entire car

I’m guessing tariffs was the final nail in the coffin.

potentially. that being said, I did order the part a solid 6 months before there was ANY talk of tariffs. that much lead time to deliver a glorified metal box is insane. I've been through this before with another vendor and was able to make a claim with the credit card company, but in that case I had months worth of emails, and then their final instagram post when the company went under. Because IIMuch never replied to emails, all of my interactions were via phone, so no paper trail besides the original purchase order.

I’m not disagreeing with you. He was an awful business owner imo. He just couldn’t survive the recall, Covid supply chain issues and finally the loss of tariff free de minimus shipping across the border.

Recall was years ago. You should be fine if it’s the new version.

He posted this on Social Media yesterday

      II MUCH products business status.

Our website appears to have been taken over. We're working with our hosting service to resolve.

We've had serious issues due to tariffs but will resume shipping backorders to the US this month.

New orders into the US will be suspended temporarily until we've filled backorders and have confidence we can ship without being charged random fees, or having orders destroyed by customs.

Hope he means it this time and isn't taking pages right out of Mark Savitske's play book.

At this point, Im 16 months in, and chalking it up to a loss. Radium Engineering just released a pretty similar looking vent set up for comparable cost that I'll probably order. If I randomly get my IImuch vent in the mail in another 3 years, I'll throw it in the parts locker for a future project.
