I'm sure this has been asked here before but my search came up with nothing. I have access to a known good TR6060 that I can get for free. I know there are issues with the shifter, but is it bad enough to pass it up? It will be going behind a LS3 into a 70 GTO.

They are a proven transmission, lots of people running them in swaps and you can't beat the asking price. Not sure what you have lose

I'm not sure either. My only real gripe is going to be modifying the tunnel. This car is a real Orbit Orange 70 Judge, so I don't want to beat it up real bad. Originally I had intended on a TKX just because of the physical size, but a free trans would open up funds for other stuff for it.

Use the tin man tunnel patch. Easy enough to install and fits under a stock console if you have one.

If this is a real Judge, then you may want to use the TKX. Then again, it is your car and you can do whatever you like.

Yeah I'm torn with this. If it were already rusty it wouldn't be a big deal, but it's really nice in there. Then again, it's not that difficult to undo. Ugh. I don't know!
