      LS-1 Question---Harness

I have a chance to buy a complete 99 F-body with the 4L60..For $3500..I want to take the LS and trans and put it in my 66 Impala wagon...How much of the harness do I need....The reason i am asking is in order to convince my wife that this is a feasable thing i was thinking of putting a TPI or carb'd or I have an Edelbrock multi port that I can stick on something motor in the camaro with a T-350 or t-400 trans and use it as my everyday driver...just was not sure what i need to keep in the camaro to make it usable as far as gauges,ABS and so forth...Thanks

You need the complete engine and tranmission harness.

absolutely not! thats a great deal unless its very high milage or the drivetrain is crapped. the gauges in those cars plug into the ECM as does the transmission. modules are made so that you dont need to ECM to use a 4l60e but why buy one when you already have one. are you sure you want to adapt ABS onto the older car? that can be quite a lot of work.

oh im sorry i thought it was just for the engine and transmission ...yeah that sounds like an average price for a salvage damaged car ..is it complete as in no damage ?

It is driveable no damage but has a salvage/rebuilt title....the car needs nothing to make it an everyday driver....

You could probably make your money back and more by parting it out.

you can rework the same engine harness ...the abs harness is not part of the engine harness...speartech.com can help you with your needs
