Ridetech, Shockwaves and Veronica

So been posting on here a little but thought i’d introduce myself or more so Veronica. Don’t usually name cars but a friends wife said she looked like a Veronica and I kinda agreed.

This is her.

I like the pro touring style but as a kid I always wanted a 70’s chevelle with a 454. She was a solid example of this.

She came bored out to a 489 with Scat crank and rods. Roller cam and rockers (crane rollers comp cam) 850 Demon carb and other niceties like aluminum radiator and electric water pump.

She has a built turbo 400with a gear vendor OD and a 12 bolt Moser out back with Tru-Trac and 33 spline axle.

Hotchkis adjustable upper rear and lower trailing arms (keeping) and Hotchkis 1” lowering springs (not keeping)

She’s dyno’d at 383hp anf 421tq. I would like to get her up to 450 but well see as i like how she drives on the street and she probably won’t ever see a track.

The front control arms were kept stock, I decided to replace front control arms, wheels so i thought. I focused on the usual for front arms.

Hotchkis to match?
cheapies from Summit?
BmR?

Settled on UMI but then thought about brakes needed upgrading (currently disc front, drums back). Looked at Willwood DynaPro’s.

Down the rabbit whole I went and as I’ve always liked cars with airride I talked myself into ridetech. Decided to go the best so I looked into Shockwaves. This another reason for my post as I couldn’t find much info so hopefully future googlers can find this.

Currently waiting on the Rear ShockWaves and the Willwood kit.

I decided on the Aero6 for the front and the Superlites for the rear. The current set up stops her fine but i’ve always wanted willwood big brakes on this car in my head.

Also gonna be upgrading to 19” wheels and wanna fill them up

I’ll update this as parts come in and work gets started.

A big thanks to JoshRidetech and Dean over at ridetech for helping me get this all sorted.
