      simple power steering solution

Plan to run factory style accessory brackets on my Pontiac powered (aluminum 535) second gen Firebird and trying to figure out what to do about power steering. The plan is to stick with a Saginaw style pump, which I'll need to connect to the Detroit Speed rack and pinion that came with their subframe. Wondering if there's a particular pump and set of hoses which will work well right out of the box. If not, perhaps a combination of parts that minimizes the number of fittings/adaptors? I haven't had good luck making my own hoses and wish to minimize the time/expense of trying to piece something together myself in a hit or miss sort of way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
