      LS2 for Sale

I have a used LS2 from an 05 GTO for sale. It has only 35k miles on it. My price on this is $4500. Here are the specifics on the engine:

LS2 with LSA heads from a Cadillac CTS-V
      Smallwood racing cam
      hardened pushrods
BTR .660 valve springs and Trunion upgrade
      new timing chain
      ARP cam gear bolts
      new tensioner
      high pressure/high flow oil pump.

I need the oil pan back to go back in the GTO. No intake on this engine. I can send photos if requested. It is clean and bagged and on a pallet. The engine is in the western burbs of Chicago.

Wow, nearly 400 views and not a single comment or offer? Can anyone offer some feedback? I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Price seems decent. Pictures always help. Being a person with 3 posts might scare people off.

Not sure on the market for LS2s....LS3 is the ticket people gravitate to. Why LS2 when there is an LS3? I think the demand for those older platforms are declining even though the prices people are asking is steady. I paid $2800 for my LS1 10 years ago...Thats probably what a LS2 is actually worth today.

For what it might be worth, I paid 5.5k 3 years ago for my 2006 GTO ls2 and 4l65e.
Stock, 75k miles, shipped to Miami from California.

It was not the cheapest, but a reputable seller, low miles, donor car at sight.

It's still on its shipping pallet 3 years after...

I paid 2500 for my LS2 3 years ago. I got to run it in the donor car before it was pulled and saw the oil pressure. For just a bit more than $4500 you can find a solid used LS3. Just my opinion.

Agree with some of what the others have said. In my opinion the $4500 is a tad steep, even with the low mileage and the adders. Offering to ship at that price could make it a better deal. Pictures and some sort of mileage documentation, donor car info helps too.

I just sold an LS3 yesterday, I thought it was going to be an easy Sale, but it wasn't and I came way off the Price. The Market is not what it was a couple of years ago

All excellent points! I appreciate the solid advice you all have given. I will see what I can do regarding pictures. Unfortunately the engine came out of my nephew's car so i have to see if he has any. He sold it to me for a project I was going to be doing that I am no longer going to do.

I will look at shipping costs and see if I can add them in to the price. Thanks again gentlemen!
