4l80e smal question help required please

Hi gents im almost finished my 4l80 build and ive come to the last part putting the tail housing on and i noticed a small crack in it see pictures in my opinion the crack shouldnt affect the strenght of the unit i put a slit in the crack to relieve it just incase am i right in doint this or should i replace the housing any input would be great
