      Unofficial LS15 Introduction

      Hello Everyone at Pro-Touring,

My name is Brian, and I wanted to make my unofficial introduction of my PT mini truck project build, The GMC LS15. I have recently bought my dad's (original owner) 1987 GMC S-15, with the plans to turn it into my summer driver/weekend track racer mini-truck. I live in Colorado, and the truck currently is in California. Due to some complications, I will not be able to get the truck for another couple of months, however, the planning phase has begun.

I am brand new to the Pro-Touring genre. On top of that, I am brand new to the mini-truck scene. What I am not new to is a passion for driving, speed, and making things more than what they were meant to be.

Throughout this build, I will be relying upon your guidance, knowledge, and wisdom, to make this truck better than what I could have done on my own.

I was introduced to this forum through my neighbor. He works as an engineer for a NASCAR Team, and is tracking a 1977 Porsche 911. As I started explaining to him my plans for my future mini-truck, he asked me if I had ever heard of the Pro-Touring scene. Only through a few YouTube videos here and there, or maybe a magazine feature, I had never spent too much time in this class of automotive.

So, here is the quick introduction and goals for my truck:

      - LS1 swap, T56 Trans
      - Unknown suspension set up
      - No idea for rear
      - Summer driver
      - Trackable, as a weekend hobby
      - Occasional Hardware Store runner
      - Not necessarily Auto-X'd, but inspired by PCHRods c-10r http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/03/...hint-of-zonda/
      - Fun truck to pass down to my kids

I will definitely update more, but would love to learn from you all, hear your thoughts and input, and make this truck more of a community build. Please Please Please leave your thoughts through out this build. Give me your opinion. Give me your recommendations. I trust you all as experts and hope to take little bits of your knowledge, apply to my build, so when we get a chance to connect in-person one day at a meet or event, you can stop by knowing you were part of the build.

Cheers all, really excited about this and can't wait to get started!
