      LS Fest lodging

Anyone have any suggestions on lodging for LS Fest in Bowling Green, preferably with a secured parking lot.

The official host hotel is the Holiday Inn University plaza just off Scottsville Rd...but it's probably sold out. There are a few other hotels down the same street. No hotel has a over night security, if that's what you mean by "secure."

There's 2 hotels on Wilkinson Trace across the street from the host hotel, Hilton Gardens and I think a Courtyard. I don't think you're going to find a hotel in BG with a "secured lot", I never worry about that stuff, I just keep enough insurance on the car to cover it if something happens.

I booked at Holiday Inn, I believe I got the last room. I was at Charlotte and my friends car was stolen right out of the lot at the Hilton. He took a beating on the what they gave him as opposed to what he had inn it. First time there and I am looking forward to it.

Closest thing to secured parking would be the RV park next to the track. Camp in your RV with the car in the trailer attached to the RV. Everything else is open lots.

Maybe I worded it wrong, what I meant was a security guard or someone awake in the parking lot to spot a thief. It would be a long walk home for me.

Same answers still apply. None of the hotels have active security in the parking lots at night. Even with parking lot security, it would still be possible for professionals to walk away with the vehicle.

For extra security, you could install something like this prior to LSFest. http://www.gnsperformance.com/skylink Skylink will tell you if your car has moved and provides active tracking in areas with cell phone service and enough signal for the GPS to track the vehicle.

I called the Holiday Inn last night and they told me they have lot security from 11 to 7. I still realize a pro could get it out of there, it just makes me a feel a little better. I do have GPS and other anti theft devices in place.

I was at the last two LS Fests and have stayed at the Holiday Inn both times, and have spent multiple evenings in that parking lot, shooting the s**t and enjoying adult beverages. I have never seen any sort of security guard walking around. I am not saying there wasn't one around or that they are not doing it this year, only that I have never seen one...

I've never had a problem at any of the shows in Bowling Green but that may also be because the local PD patrols extremely heaviy on all of nights there is an event.
