      64 Boosted Falcon

I have been thinking about a Falcon Pro Tour build for a number of years now. Well I found a car with great bones so the project planning begins.
The original plan was a LS swap but then spotted the 3.5L Ecoboost create engine that has caused a change of direction. A number of things need to be verified before I pull the trigger on the engine but I am almost there. Quick Time makes a bell housing for a T5 or T56 transmission and need to verify that the 3.7 flywheel is a bolt on. The suspension is in the early planning stages, things I want are rack and pinion steering, coil overs and 3 or 4 link rear suspension.

      Comments, suggestions and ideas welcome.

sounds awesome! pics or it didnt happen Ecoboost motor would be cool my work van has one and its pretty quick even for a one ton box van. Throw more boost in there and it could be real sweet. Seen the gas monkey pantera with the ecoboost? Pretty quick car. Where you located at?

Thanks all, I am looking forward to getting started. Just moved and the garage/shop remodel is moving too slow needs to be finished before I start the Falcon project. It will be a few months, which is allowing the time needed to plan out my build. Right now the car is white and haven't given any thought to the paint yet, focused on the drivetrain and chassis. I am located in Bowling Green KY.
I can select photos from my files but won't allow me to post them, I get an error code next to the photo file. Something I need to figure out.

Well I have ordered parts for my Falcon, 3.5 Ecoboost ordered so I am committed or need to be committed. Found a deal on a T56 and the bell housing is on the way. And will be ordering the TCI IFS kit once the engine arrives, the fun begins. I was told there is no way I was to swap a LS engine into the Falcon by my stepson when I told him it was a possibility, he bleeds Ford Blue.

It should be a nice little runner with the Ecoboost in there. It's going to be a nice project.

The ls swap would be simple, the eco, not so much. You might want to do some serious measuring before you order any front suspension and crossmember. I think Ford Racing has engine dimensions on their website. Here's a thread to look over:

Thanks for the link WFO watching the Mustang build will be helpful. I have the engine dimensions from from Ford. Turbo relocation is something that I have taken into consideration.
I know the swap is going to be full of challenges. I have figured I well be moving the firewall back.

However long you think your project will take, double it and you might be halfway right.

      LowFast,
Your build is a inspiration I was disappointed that your photos are are no longer up of the build process. Who's wheels are those?? I been looking for Minilite like wheel that are in my budget, those look great on the car. I won't be going as big on the rear as you have, I am thinking 18X9.5 or 10 with a 275 -295 and 18X8 front with 245's. Would love to see some more pictures of the build, so far you have executed my plan for a fun driver.

Thanks Andrew, waiting on the engine to arrive, I ordered the TCI front end today. Looking forward to getting started and cutting and welding.
We have been in BG for 4 years now, it is a nice place to land. When at LS Fest come by, I am the general manager at NCM Motorsports Park.
