      Little more progress..

got the rear bumper positioned and mounted

The steering all done, the crossmember notched for oil pan clearance, and the firewall cut and trimmed to be set way back, left side notched out for the side drafts..

Got the tranny in, and the Transmount/exhaust hole mocked in..

      And started the header...

Here I cut the original manifold down to use as a template on my pantagraph, to make an official template.
I cut out the holes in the thin guage material, then shaped the outside and the ports to be used in the pantagraph....

Then put the template in and cut out the header plate..

this si really awsome. badass old imports are cool. i really liked the datsun 510 with the TT supra engine. very cool both cars. keep us updated i want to see this thing done.

and i vote for flared fenders as well not stuck on flares.

      Thanks!

Yah the fenders will resemble more of a MKIV supra big and swoopy

All I have to say is wow! And I do believe this is the first time I've ever seen someone make their own muffler...this will truely be a case of "Built, not Bought."

I always liked those body styles. I just had (about a year ago) a set of the TRD fender extentions for that body style. Looked like they would have worked perfectly for this. Hoshino racing wheels just look natural on these cars.

I was looking at the front suspension. Looks like you used a 87-88 Supra? I had thought about doing the same thing to my 73 Nova. But the front crossmember relationship to the wheel centerline was just to far off. You will never hurt that rear suspension. Those things are tough.

I cannot believe I missed this thread.
I have always had a soft spot for those early Celicas.

      Nice work. I love it!
