I just wish he'd start wearing blue jeans under those chaps..that flabby ass hanging off the sides of that banana seat only appeal to the limp wrists..

I went to one show with Chris Itoh..same deal.. Camera , artist paper, pencil, KY, all the stuff..but he was handing out ben-wah beads..now that's a twist..watching them try those babies on..even cooler when ol Chris gives them a yank and tries to jump start em..my kinda guy ,never a dull moment with him..

I am going there with a 1 5/8 tube cage, they tell me its ok.
Will the Year One race be only for the cars you invite, or can we bring ugly cars to run?

We have provisions for the chute, fire system, etc. We are looking into another location to try this..We are trying to integrate a challenge on Bill Goldberg's Automaniac TV Show that will be held at The Year One Experience in April. We would like to challenge a Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche etc..and maybe another modified muscle car or two. No one would modify their Supercar to meet the rules at Maxton. The surface leaves a little to be desired at Maxton too. I like it there though..lots of fun..especially when some dude in a late model Corvette ran mid 180's on a max allowed speed of 150 since he had no roll bar, chute, fire system etc. Ol Turk lost it..Put the dude on the trailer, didn't give him his time slip, and escorted him off the track..Kinda of like doing a 100 ft. burnout down the main drag in Pigeon Forge

You are correct, some do, but most do realize what the runs mean to the local ecomony. The ones that hate it, hate everything. They would rather still be in the dark ages, without electricity or running water. Some people you just can't reach.......
Anyway, come on up, I can always make a phone call it I need too.

      Bob,

I saw your Cuda at Sema & PRI and both times while looking over the car for what seemed like forever I could not speak. Kinda like when you were young and had a scary nightmare, someone is chasing you and you could not get the words HELP out.

Unfrickenreal!!! My hats off to everyone involved in that build. That is one awesome Cuda that's all I got to say.

if you know "The Man",,I would like to do a big burnout to thrill the crowd but I don't want to have to spend the night in the tank and get my license pulled. If you wanna see me do my thing..pull that string..are you hooked up? get my drift?

      I don't think I am THAT hooked up.lol
I do however own 5 acres one block off the parkway with a nice parking lot, if you caught my drift.........
Be sure to let me know when you are coming, I have plenty of parking if you need it. In fact we had a protouring event here last year at the local drag strip and went on a nice cruise. (Look in the racing events section and watch the Pigeon Forge Event video.) We plan on another one in 06. Probably the weekend of the spring Grand Run. We will find you a place in line and a spot to do a private burnout if you attend.

      3 G Services..Detroit Michigan..w.734-947-9434 mob 734-262-4280 Doug Groh
He was introduced to us by Chris Itoh..Chris is the designer of the Cuda..his day job is Head designer @ Peterbilt Trucks..Chris knew him when Chris was working in Detroit. We looked at a lot of Carbon Fiber Work..3 G's work was the best. You won't see this quality Carbon very often. His business is slow as is everything in Detroit..He can get right on a project without any wait time..

No, that farm bought 22M, a bit rich for my blood. Yeah, Jake Thomas was a heck of a guy. Lived like a pauper, and then his land bought that kind of money.
I am across the parkway, about 1/2 mile south of the Grand, right behind the Whispering Pines condos. We always have several rigs of friends parked here during the shows.

I've been missing the Grand ..I think it's the Spring Charlotte that conflicts with it..got to buy a new trailer. Sold my big rig..to old to monkey around hauling 5 or 6 cars...it was fun for awhile, then it was hard work. I thought that farm was auctioned off in parcels..I don't understand that mentality..I want to go out broke..no need in making it if you're not going to enjoy it. My kids wish I had Jakes mentality.
