      LS1 shuts off under hard braking

      Hey guys! I have a 1980 firebird with an LS1 out of an 02' Camaro SS with the 4L60E. I recently did a c5 front brake conversion to the car. Bought the kit from cpp which included a spindles/calipers/pads/rotors. Full bolt on deal. I was out testing the cars brakes on a deserted road after the swap and had a problem under hard braking. When the brakes would lockup or harsh threshold braking the car would come to a complete stop and the engine would turn off under the extreme braking. It fires up after putting it back in park just fine and all is well. It only happens under hard braking. I had this problem previously with stock brakes when I locked them up and came to a real hard stop. So I don't think the new harder created the problem, just heightened it. The car has a new dual diaphragm brake booster and from my testing does not have any vacuum leaks. The engine is stock except for bbk headers and a cold air intake. Any help would be appreciated!       Tell us about your fuel system. Specifically the tank and pump.

      Probably a stupid question but did you connect the TCC to the brake light switch and use the switch with the extra set of contacts for the TCC?

      I'm sure Donny is on the right track, I am just curious.

      The tank is an aftermarket spectra tank but I do not know the fuel pump...I'm sorry but the fuel system and most of the swap was already done when I got the car...the tcc is connected with the brake switch and that does function.
      I always tell others to take the high road, that way there's more room for me on the low road

      That tank is known to have starvation problems. Does the problem happen when the tank is full?
