5 3/4 headlight upgrade options
I'm trying to upgrade the headlights on my 67 Chevelle. I've done a lot of research and searching and have come to the conclusion that my options seem to be the JW Speaker led's or the Daniel Stern upgrade. It looks like the truck lite led's don't come in 5 3/4 and I don't see many reviews on the Oracle led's so I'm a little hesitant to make that purchase.
I contacted Daniel who replied with a ton of great information. Doing the upgrade his way is not that cheap, but seems like it's probably the cheapest and best solution. Before I pull the trigger, does anyone have any other ideas/brands to look into?
Thanks in advance.

I bought the Cibie 7" headlight housings from Daniel and have been very happy with them. I used 85/80 Osram bulbs and they are "almost" too bright! The reflection back from road signs on high beam is crazy. My first night drive down "Hairy Man Road" in Round Rock Texas was impressive. It is a road that follows Brushy Creek and I used to drive it often between Round Rock and Cedar Park. The road has trees on both sides and in places is kind of like a tunnel. With the Cibies and the 85/80 bulbs visibility was like driving the road in daylight. They are better headlights than anything else I have driven including my new cars.
One exceptional feature I like is the cut-off. The Cibie glass housings are E-code lamps certified for use in Europe. The cut-off is very distinct, not blended like the US DOT sealed beams. This makes the low beams very courteous to oncoming traffic and makes aiming the headlights very easy to do. I just drove the car to my local big box retail outlet and parked 100' from the side of the building. Few turns of the screwdriver and done. I already had headlight relays so the conversion was pretty easy for me. I bought the version with the parking light option. The parking light feature means you have to modify your bucket, I would recommend against it unless you have to have it.
Two pictures from 2006 when I installed the lights. First is the park light option, if you look closely you can tell the light source is coming from the bottom of the headlight. This is for situations like a parking lot at night where you don't necessarily need the headlights to see, just so others can see you. And you don't blind other drivers or pedestrians in the parking lot.
This second picture is with the brights on... not that this tells you anything really.
