      Lost bleeder fitting

Hey guy's i went to install my remote bleeder that I bought a while back and sure enough a piece is gone. I need a new fitting that threads into the slave cylinder and the braided line threads onto the other end. Anyone know where I can find one.

      Lost bleeder fitting

Speedway Motors has a kit, and through that you can find the individual part numbers. Summit or Jegs will also carry the fittings.

Don't forget the crush washer. That is what actually seals there when using that fitting.

A proper fitting wil seal on the inside inverted cone inside the slave, just like the stock bleeder.

Yep, just commenting as the fitting in the picture is not the proper fitting.......and missed the convex part, that should be correct.

Thanks Andrew but I had ordered that day. But you two are making me wonder. The kit came with crush washers but you are saying that it doesn't require one?
Now I'm confused because I read a lot of people having issues with remote bleeders leaking because of them having the wrong crush washer.

Post a picture of the bleeder you just purchased. Does it have a cone or is it concave?

OK...look in my Cougar build thread and you will see how I was bitching about improper bleeder fittings and the issues associated with them.

Yep, that won't seal without the crush washer. See Andrew's thread for the correct fitting that I hope he puts a picture of here with possibly a part number maybe for posterity

Not with that fitting. What can happen is that the fitting bottoms out before the crush washer seals. I have a handful of the right fittings and all part numbers are in my build thread.

Here are the pictures of the Speedway fitting and the proper fitting.

The proper fitting is on top and has the correct cone on the right side. The fitting on the left is wrong and relies on the crush washer to seal. The worsts part is that the fitting on the bottom will give you a sense of security and make you thin it will seal on the crush washer, but in my experience, it is too long and it will bottom out before the crush washer has any chance to work.

Sorry Andrew I just checked this post. I don't get notifications. Anyways I saw your issue with the cougar so I compared the threads on the speedway fitting and the stock bleeder. It looked close. So what I did was used a fine grain disc and very very carefully polished the end of the speedway fitting almost the where the threads started. I used the thickest crush washer I had.

I got it all back together and everything bled. No leaks and I drove the car for a couple miles. So if it leaks again ill get a fitting from you or burn the car to the ground

I just used a random photo to show you the part I polished down
