      Need HP Tuners help

      Problem--I keep getting a P0481 code--"Cooling Fan2 Control Circuit"

Background--1998 LS1 engine (perimeter bolt VC) 2001 S-10 PCM programmed to 2002 Camaro specs PCM operated fans with "low" trigger wire connected to relay operating fan (pin Blu-42), "High" speed trigger (Red-33) not connected to anything. Single fan operation required. Also PCM operated AC clutch. Fan operation on AC request required. AC request IS wired into vintage air system and AC operates flawlessly.

Question-- I have someone who set all the parameters for fan2 to beyond what it should see to operate, yet I still get the code. Can someone list what he is missing, or HOW to turn off fan2, or complete list for single-fan operation?? Heck at this point I think I would be alright with just turning off the ability to show that code, the system seems to be working fine right now with the exception of a red light in my face.

You should have a pull down to specify how many fans are in your system.

I was wondering something like that. I watched over his shoulder as he was programming. Don't remember seeing him open a pull down, but he might have. Do remember him setting the fan2 on at a high temp for turning on.

Thank you for the reply, I don't remember seeing that screen over his shoulder. John is looking at the file also, but haven't heard back yet.

PS---It will be a few days-week before I can make any progress on this issue. Car is at trans shop. Imagine that---the "rebuilt trans" I bought off craig's list was CRAP, and is getting rebuilt.
