      Very impressive !!!

Reminds me of the Ken Block Mustang Hoonicorn. Not much of the original car is left when done but still a very impressive street machine.

Eric knocked out some engine plate mounts as well, should make pulling the motor in and out fairly easy.

Jay did a beautiful job blending the factory Mercury cowl area with the new cup car firewall, it was pretty incredible to watch. We had to set the ignition system in first to see if we had clearance, and it fit perfectly. There were many things that just happened to fit, which saved us a bunch of time and work. I re-fit the spider bars to the front clip, and bolted them up.

The only fab work left is the Aero front end conversion (seen above), car is a Mercury Cyclone Spoiler, but we are making it a Cyclone Spoiler II. Can't have the front end acting like a parachute. I will take more pictures next time, as most of the work now is tedious - plumbing, wiring etc. Below is the airbox setup, pulling air through the cowl.

      Seat and Safety

There's the airbox with the lid, clears the hood by about 3/4" - had to run a 1" carb spacer instead of the 2" we dyno'd the engine with, not sure how bad that will hurt the top end. I got the fire bottles installed but it sure took a while, I didn't have pictures of how they were originally installed from Roush. Butler came through with my seat the day before I had to head back overseas, unfortunately being so tall is proving inconvenient, I am going to have to mount it flush to the floor essentially, and cut out the existing seat brackets. I now understand why they recommended I build the entire car before disassembling it for paint....the saga continues

      Killer project man!

What do you think the total weight will be when finished?

      More pictures

Car is back on the surface plate. Got the windshield supports done, then laid out the exhaust exit. Fitted the lexan, now time to pull it all apart for paint.
