      LS7 cable throttle body

I have a 2007 LS7 that I am putting in a 1972 Camaro, but I don't have the throttle body or throttle pedal, but I do have the ecu. So does anyone know if I can convert to a thottle cable thottle body and use this ecu? or do I need a different ecu? Or do I just need to find a DBW Throttle body and pedal?

      Thanks

Dbw...way simpler then trying to find and convert stuff. GM performance parts sells a DBW pedal and allowing you to use stock LS7 throttle body and I take if you so choose

Gen IV ECUs can't be converted to cable drive, nor do you really want to. Get yourself the right DBW throttle body and a pedal from a 2007 Monte Carlo SS with the 5.3L engine. Those pedals are easy to adapt for older cars and they are relatively inexpensive from the dealership.

If you want something even more ply-n-play, get the GMPP LS7 harness and sell off what you have. The GMPP harness has the E67 ECU with the LS7 tune already flashed and it comes with a pedal (although not the one I mention, but it can be adapted as well).

Looks like I might pick up a 2012 LS7, same rules apply? No cable driven? I kind of like mechanical throttle

      Why? DBW works awesome.

The E67 LS7 tune has no provision for an IAC; instead it uses the throttle blade for idle, load, and engine protect modes. There's no easy way of running a cable throttle with the E67.

Sell what you have and port the LS7. The cost of the ported TB with exchange should be less than price of the FAST 102

Or just use the factory LS7 TB. I doubt there's much (if any) hp to be gained...

If you are dead set on using a cable throttle setup, which we highly recommend keeping, then we can build you a harness to support your current engine setup. You will need to purchase separately a Lingenfelter 58x to 24x converter box. This will allow you to run an older computer on your modern engine. We do not sell the converter boxes in house so you will have to order off of Lingenfelter's website. If you have any questions about this feel free to give us a call @ 765-378-4908. This is rarely done and we highly recommend keeping your 58x engine DBW.
