T56 questions
I'm looking to buy an LS2 w/a T56 from an 06 GTO. The package has about 30,000 miles on it. I'm looking to put it in a 68 firebird. Since the motor and trans are together is there a kit I can buy that will allow me to use the existing slave/throw out bearing and just get a new master cylinder and remote filler or do I need to change everything out? Also what do I need to do to move the shifter as close to where it would be with a stock 4 speed? Do I just move the shifter and plate up or is it a kit I need to buy? I may be thinking of a tremec possibly that has 2 spots for the shifter. Thanks in advance for the help/advice!
