Goodmark Hoods
Has anyone had much experience with Goodmark hoods not fitting. I am trying to fit a hood and I dont think it is formed right. If I make the front center of the hood match the header panel the front corners are about 1/2" low. The side contour of the hood next to the fenders matches until about half way to the front then it starts down.
The only fix I can come up with is to drill the spot welds and seperate the skin from the under support at these corners an raise the hood in these areas.
I have two factory hoods, one flat standard, and one "SS" and they fit fine. Just the Goodmark Cowl hood.
Just wondering

09-27-2005 #2that is how mine fit when i bolted mine up. You might have to do some massage it a little to fit. Might have to put a board in each corner and push in the middle to flex it out. Is all your other sheet metal original? Does the other hoods fit? Let me know if you need any other info.

You just bend it into shape. They are only blanks.
