sand blasted look
Hey guys,
I'm not a fan of chrome and came across this build:

I love the look on that mirror and was wondering how that look is achieved?Scott

it looks like it was my plan and done in a flat powder coat. im doing my car very similar but in white instead of blue paint not started yet.

I think they call it a Charcoal ceramic coating. The company Code 510 posted over on lateral-g about how they achieved that look and said they hope to be able to offer that service to others.

To me the texture looks to be more important than coating. It looks like the mirror was media blasted using a fairly course media and then it was painted with some sort of silverfish or charcoal color paint. DSE does that sort of look on many of their builds.

Yes, but the particular mirror in question doesn't seem to have that kind of texture. The texture on the mirror is very fine and looks "soft" which leads me to believe that it was media blasted and then sprayed with color. Originally Posted by nekkidhillbilly

could be idk was just saying he could have it pc with a rough gray powder and mimic the look closely. would last forever too.
