How to make sure engine doesn't have DoD?

I have a l92 engine out of a 07 Denali I pulled of the intake and the valley cover is flat not mazed and I've read that means it doesn't have DoD is that true?

I have an L92 out of a 07 Escalade with the flat valley cover just like yours and it does not have DOD. It does have VVT. Your motor does not have DOD. If it did it would have the other type of valley cover. By the way I retained the VVT.

I don't believe any L92 engine had DoD.
