Another New guy to grace your presence.....

Hello everyone, I have been a member of the site for a while but really have not concentrated on my car until the optima Challenge in November. Now its getting updated with better products for the Goodguys autocross races hear in California as well as the USCA events. The car is a twin turbo Cobra Replica that I have built in my garage. Its getting makeovers in every area right now. I will post some pics later, I have to get my son from school right now.

Really looking forward to racing this year and hanging out with everyone.

      Pics

Here are a few pics of the Cobra Suspension, engine and a 1 year old pic from the beach in Carmel California. I still had a lot of body work to do after that pic. Since this is my first car to build from ground up it has been a huge learning experience. I have more details to come on the upgrades to make it better for the track.

      Welcome to P-T! Kevin.
Check the Rules for the USCA, I thought I read where Kit Cars were not allowed. Not saying your's is very nice.

TC I did read that in the rules. I am hoping that it's not true. Not sure why they would say that. If a car can pass an inspection to race why does it matter if it was built by the owner with high performance parts or rebuilt and modified by the owner with aftermarket parts. I'm going to send an email to them to find out what they say. I really hope they will let me in.

There's only one way to own a Cobra that you'll actually drive. That's a kit. No one in their right mind is going to spend the money for a real one and beat on it. That rule makes 0 sense to me.

I agree 100%. I'm actually in a situation where my car is so Modified it might not be allowed - no side windows, plexi short windshield, etc
